Even if the armadillos may not transmit the diseases, it does not mean that there is a risky of handling an animal. You should avoid to release armadillo when you are too near of the cage since they are unpredictable and they do have large claws that can be used when the Fort Lauderdale armadillos think that they have no choice. The trap can also be used to transport the armadillos but it can be good to move it from the place where it caught the armadillos while waiting for the relocation. The traps should be checked every morning since armadillos are nocturnal and they can be trapped during the night.
